How TickrScope uses cookies and similar browser storage. We use only strictly necessary cookies, and our website analytics are privacy-first and cookieless — they set nothing on your device and collect no personal data. No tracking, advertising, or cross-site profiling.

Reviewed June 2026. This describes the cookies and similar browser storage the TickrScope website uses during the beta. A full production cookie audit, confirmed provider list and storage durations will be completed before public launch and reflected in the Privacy Policy.

The short version

TickrScope uses only strictly necessary cookies, plus cookieless, anonymous analytics. We do not use tracking, advertising, retargeting, social-media, or cross-site profiling cookies, and we never use a cookie wall. Because we place nothing non-essential on your device, the website shows a short informational notice rather than a consent pop-up — there are no optional tracking cookies for you to accept or reject.

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep the website working and, under UK PECR, do not require consent because the service you asked for cannot run without them. We currently use:

  • tickerscope_site_lock — set only where the private-beta site lock is enabled, so an approved visitor does not have to re-enter the site password on every page (httpOnly, SameSite=Lax).
  • tickrscope_cookie_notice — a small local-storage entry that remembers you have seen and dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every visit.
  • Payment / fraud prevention — when you begin checkout, our payment processor (Stripe) sets its own strictly necessary cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are set on the checkout step only, under Stripe's own policy.

Privacy-first, cookieless analytics

We measure basic website usage — page views, unique-visitor counts, referrer sources and anonymous performance timings — using a first-party method that sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. No personal data is kept: unique visitors are counted with a daily-rotating, non-reversible value and held only as aggregate totals, so there is no per-visitor record, no cross-day or cross-site identity, and no profile. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device and no personal data is retained, this analytics does not require consent under UK PECR/GDPR. It exists only to keep the site reliable and useful.

No advertising or tracking cookies

TickrScope does not use advertising cookies, retargeting or social-media pixels, cross-site behavioural advertising, device fingerprinting, or cookie walls. If any profiling or non-essential storage were ever added, it would require a fresh cookie review, clear opt-in consent controls, and updated wording before activation.

Third-party services

Some third-party services set their own cookies under their own policies when you use them — notably Stripe (payments) and Telegram (the bot and Mini App). Our marketing website itself loads no third-party tracking scripts, and fonts are self-hosted, so simply visiting the site contacts no external advertising or analytics provider.

Managing storage

You can clear or block cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may make parts of the site unavailable, including private-site access and remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice.

Before public launch

Ahead of paid public launch, TickrScope will complete a production inventory of all cookies and storage, durations and providers, and align the final Privacy Policy, DPIA and processor list with the technologies actually used in production.
